Private and Semi-Private Coaching
Private and semi-private coaching (one to two people a session) ensures personal attention to all of the details of the lifts, as well as programming. Often private coaching is the optimal way for a novice strength trainee to get started.

Gwyn offers private and semi-private training at two locations: Berkeley Ironworks and Game Changer Fitness.
While barbell training can be pursued independently, group classes give you the chance to be coached every time you train. Even advanced lifters are subject to form creep. Group classes help you stay on track with your technique, as well as providing a community of like minded individuals who are pursuing strength. Gwyn offers a group class that meets three times a week at Game Changer Fitness. Classes are Sundays, 9:00 am - 10:30 am, and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:45 pm - 7:15 pm. The cost for the class is $300 a month, with a one-time set-up fee of $200 that goes towards two private sessions in which trainees learn the major barbell lifts and some programming basics before entering the group class. New students are welcome at any time. Classes are capped at five people.
